antinoan:

i’m a recent queer college grad and i’m struggling a little rn to find a job/make rent, so here are some small things I can offer for a negotiable fee dependent on what your request is

- Tarot readings! ($12/minimum, varying depending on scale of reading)

I have been reading tarot for around seven years and have multiple decks/lots of experience to draw from. I can do in person for people who live in western mass or FaceTime/over the internet, and have examples of my readings I can provide if this is something that interests you

- Research into a topic/making a reading list for you! ($12/minimum, varying depending on scale of project)

I studied history at my college, have a lot of experience as a dramaturg, have undertaken many large-scale research projects, and am great at doing deep delves into niche topics. I won’t write a research paper for you, but I will look into a topic and send you what I find/sources/readings

- Write a small play on a topic of your choosing ($30-$60 depending on request and scale of project)

If you give me a general topic/theme I will write a small 5-10 page play for you! I can send along examples of my work if this is something that interests you, and I am an experienced playwright who has had a full-length show produced for my senior thesis project, and have written many small one-acts

let me know if you are interested in commissioning me for any of these things, and feel free to reblog~~

Tarot Tips

luminatress:

🃏 Find The Empress in your deck. The card behind her will reveal what you need to do to nurture and care for yourself.

🃏 When in conflict or competition with someone, look for 5 of Wands. The card behind it will reveal the solution to the problem.

🃏 If you see the same card over and over again in readings, it is a sign and you must pay attention to its message for you.

🃏 For a better understanding of each card, observe it closely and form your own interpretation that follows its themes. It will help you interpret readings better.

🃏 To find out what is making you feel stuck or delayed, look to The Hanged Man. The card underneath him will show what is holding you back. The card in front of him will show you how to overcome it.

🃏 When shuffling your cards, if any card drops out of your grasp, take it as a sign and read the card.

🃏 You do not need crystals with you to do proper readings, but a good way to cleanse your deck is to place a clear quartz on the top of your deck before each reading. Keep in mind; there’s a variety of ways you can cleanse your deck.

🃏 Often when The High Priestess appears in a reading, she is trying to tell you that you know the answers and that you should listen to your inner voice.

🃏 There is no wrong way to shuffle or cleanse your deck. Do what feels right for you!

Understanding & Conquering A Bad Habit

I think everyone has something that they positively want to change about themselves; but as we all know, this isn’t always the easiest thing to do… I made this spread to understand and conquer any negative behaviors, thinking patterns, and tendencies. I had really wonderful results!

  1. Root of issue
  2. How it affects you
  3. How it affects others
  4. Outcome if you do not change
  5. How to approach issue
  6. Necessary Action
  7. Advice

Growing-Yet's Library -Updated 6-16-18.pdf

growing-yet-into-magic:

Growing-Yet’s Personal Witchy Library!

*Updated and most recent version!* I put a link to the google doc up in the title, just in case the list looks as garbage in the post it as it does while I upload it.

So I am what the kids call a compulsive hoarder of books, and I was honestly surprised I had so many when I started counting. There are a total of about 33 real books, with a few mini-books thrown in from kits I was given as a kid. Most are purely witchcraft based, and a few are Wiccan, but I put personalized notes on each book so it’s easier to see if you would actually want to read or actually need something out of them. For example, the Sabbats books has some really fun activities, but I wouldn’t use it for the historical sections as most have been debunked over time.

Those books highlighted in lavender are the ones I have personally read cover-to-cover, while the gray ones are mini-books. Most are reference books, and I totally encourage anyone who needs a peek inside of them to message me with what you would need! I know that metaphys. and witchcraft books are hella expensive, and not everyone wants to drop $30 for one of the Judika Illes books, so if you want something from them, go right ahead and speak up. :) I may not always respond immediately, I will get to you and you will save yourself some $$$.

*Also, I know that some of these authors are controversial or otherwise not-reliable, so take the words with a grain of salt. I made some points in the notes, so read them please. I also made a point to buy used instead of new where I can, so technically only a few of the authors on this list actually got my money.

-Blessings!

agathokambescence:

Tears That Must Be Shed Spell

Purpose: To release sadness when you need to cry but can’t.

Materials:

  • Rain/Snow Water
  • Salt
  • (Optional) Black Candle

Instructions:

  1. Light the black candle, if you have one.
  2. Mix water and salt together.
  3. Place below eyes (NOT IN TEAR DUCT OR ON YOUR WATERLINE, AS THAT CAN BE HARMFUL) to make it seem like tears.
  4. Let the water run, or smear the water if you’d like.
  5. Chant, “Let this water be my tears, Removing all worries, doubts, and fears, Better will I feel again, With these tears my heart will mend,”

I hope this helps you with your sadness, whatever it may be. Have a lovely day.

Water is a good offering. Olive oil is a good offering. Flowers are a good offering. Written poetry is a good offering. Singing is a good offering. Milk is a good offering. Drawing is a good offering. Wine is a good offering. Candles are a good offering. Incense is a good offering.

The ancient Greeks used what they had around them as offerings, use what you have around you. Yes, the luxurious offerings are great to give, but many of you have asked us what you can do for offerings when you’re short on money. Use what you have around you. Be creative, or just offer some water. You have options and no limits to give an offering.
